Tough to say because in a year where there is no 1 player that stands out it may go to a team with a specific need. If that team needs a wing maybe Muhammad. Center I would go Len, but teams will likely select Noel over him. For that matter a guy like Marcus Smart could play his way up the draft boards if he leads OSU to like the sweet 16 playing PG.

If it's someone from Kentucky, it has to be Goodwin or Poythress...I can't imagine it will be Noel.

I'd probably take Zeller or Len. I know they're not in the same class as a lot of #1 overall picks, but no one is this year, so you can't focus on that and must focus on the best player for your team, in my opinion.

For both the NFL and the NBA, it's a bad year to be bad. There isn't a clear cut number one pick in either league, in my opinion, but the fans of whichever team gets that pick won't think of it that way. It's not every year that the guys toward the end of the lottery have about as good a chance of being great NBA players as the top choice, but I see such little differentiation between 1 and 15 this year that it's going to be a real challenge for a GM to find the right player for his team, with the right makeup, to make it work. I don't envy that GM.

Noel has a lot of talent, but what makes him better than Zeller or Len? I've watched Indiana a couple of times now, and I'm not sure I've see a legitimate 7-footer move up and down the court as quickly and as "gracefully" as Zeller. I would have a difficult time passing on Zeller for another center-type player like Noel, which is why I think I would base my pick more on need. So if I needed a center, I'd take Zeller or Len, but if I needed something other than a center, I'd pick a wing or a guard, which leads to my belief that Goodwin or Poythress is more likely to be picked number one from this Kentucky team than Noel is.

All that said, I don't watch much NBA and don't know exactly what drives these decisions.

BMac going #1 is no joke. He has more translatable NBA skills than any other player in the college game right now. He has such a smooth stroke with a high release, ridiculous body control, elite level athleticism, and such good court vision. He penetrates into the lane better than anyone I have seen this year. NBADraft.net as him going #3 ahead of Bazz No question BMac looks like the better player right now. The guy is also money at the line. If he can get more consistency on his outside shot his numbers and grade at the combine will put him in contention for the top draft pick.
