Given KU's lack of effective inside presence next year with the departure of Withey and Young do you think Embiid is a starter immediately?

He's probably not "ready" for that in the normal sense, but then again we only have Ellis coming back along with a bunch of middling players.

In my mind one of the biggest things this accomplishes is that it lets the staff go full bore after a difference making 4 man for the rest of this recruiting class with the offer to play off an elite big man in the center and with Ellis who is a low post guy as well. Be in Randle, Gordon or someone else who opens up due to coaching change or whatever. We are down to really just needing one piece in this class.

That is good for this class, in that we have something great to sell other players.

It is even better news for upcoming classes in that we can start putting in our time there as well. A big get on the trail for the staff in all respects.
