Not to turn this into a lineup thread, but isn't smart money for opening day:
Tharpe Selden Greene Ellis Lucas
Then by mid-season: Mason or Tharpe -- toughest call Selden Greene Ellis Embiid
If Randle comes, obviously he's in from day one, but the question is Lucas or Ellis at day one, then if Self goes small with Ellis, can Embiid unseat him. Then there's fan reaction if Frankamp doesn't get good minutes.

Man, my reading comprehension is going down because Lucas isn't a safe bet to do anything other than absorb some fouls. I'd say the "safe" bet is Ellis and Embiid, with a better shot at Traylor than Lucas.

Good point about White. The problem, though, is that then puts in effectively in the same class with three other wings who are just better than he is (though at least one of them will likely leave early).

Would love to have Jerry comment on what Embiid playing well and having his team win that event means in the scheme of the high school season. Is that event relevant? Is Wiggins team good? Embiid's? Lots of high school players put up huge numbers against subpar competition, but it seems like this might Embiid might have had a pretty impressive performance against elite level talent. And if that's the case, should we be adjusting our expectations of him likely being a very raw, 3 year player to someone who might be able to make an impact sooner than later?

Unless Landen Lucas drastically improved this year, Kansas doesn't want him in the starting line up. Some desperate recruiting for numbers at the end in that recruiting class.
I was shocked when Kansas pursued Lucas.
