Two transfers (McClellan and Bond) has to increase the chances that Kabongo goes. After all who the hell is he going to throw the ball to. Barnes seems to have a full on dumpster fire on his hands with no recruits really coming in that can make a difference either.
And Barnes received a vote of confidence yesterday.

Well hell...if they were going to fire him they would have already right? Why wait?
He is going to hang on this year. But if he does not win next year that is an ugly situation with a lot of guys that might transfer out (all Sophomores really) instead of playing for a new guy. They have nothing coming in this year. A new coach could show up needing 10 guys.
Don't be surprised if Barnes interviews for jobs to get out of town ahead of the posse, a la Tubby Smith in Lexington. Go get one more big contract before people figure out you're never going to do it at a big time program.
Probably a good move on his part. Good way to play the game if you can as a coach. Now if UT does come open that is one attractive job that could get a big time coach if that coach is ok being at a "football school." Unlimited funds, great city, great recruiting base, good conference and expectations to be good every year but not necessarily great every year.
