Confirmed his unofficial this weekend on Twitter. Someone needs to tell the students to treat him like Randle.

Weather permitting, correct?
That is what I heard. Weather if fine today...at least in Lawrence and KC. But we are supposed to get more snow Sunday and Monday. Had about enough of that...
By the way, Jones is just fantastic to watch. Great court vision, fantastic ballhandler, and excellent finisher through contact. Reminds me some of Sherron Collins in that he's just a wizard with the ball and finishes like a tank when he gets into the lane. I dare say he's a bit more talented overall, too. Young, healthy Collins probably had a slight edge in athleticism, but Jones is no slouch in that area. Biggest issue for Jones is that he's probably 6' at most.
And being 6-0 still puts him ahead of Collins in that respect, too. Collins was more athletic when his knee was healthy, but Tyus is a shorter version of some seriously killer starting NBA point guards. He's not tall enough to be Rose or Rondo, but he has similar court vision at this point to me.
Blog time. With an interesting comment:
Then after I got back from Kansas, Jahlil was asking me about how things went there because he hasn’t made it there yet.
I like the "yet" in that line.
Everyone says true packaged deals don't exist, but this one may be the outlier. The combo of Jones and Okafor is going to make one lucky fanbase very very happy.
Tantalizing, but perhaps unfortunate. I feel like we'd have a better shot at Jones solo, but desperately need a pg and a big in 2014.
Do you say that because of the USA Today article or what else?
Fair to say that as a PG, you'd take Tyus Jones over Andrew Harrison and Kasey Hill?
Hard to say, because Andrew Harrison is just outstanding. He's got a skill level as a PG that's well above his peers. The biggest problem with him is the attitude issues.
I like Hill a lot, but I don't think he's as good at the position of PG as Jones is. Hill is probably a better prospect because of his size and athleticism, but I'll take Jones every time over Hill.
I'll happily take any top 40 true PG we can get at this time.
We saw tonight that we could use one of those.
