Kid is a stud. I have heard we have been in pretty good shape with him early on.
Any time a kid takes a visit on his own dime, especially from out of state, that's a good sign. I wonder if the lack of officials so far is because so many kids haven't taken their standardized tests yet.
He'd be a great get, but I still wonder how an elite wing player fits into our 2014 class with all the wing depth we'll have from 2013. Again, I'd love to get him (and we just might do that), but I think our priorities are face-up forwards and the top 2-3 point guards (I don't think we'll reach very deep into the point guard class because we have several decent ballhandlers coming in as part of the wing / guard coup in 2014).
I think the staff is covering their bases in case Wayne goes 1 & done.
He fits that attacking guard mold that Self loves. Vaughn has some Tyshawn Taylor to him, for sure.
And that's certainly a possibility, but I don't see room for another combo guard even without Selden. Of course, I don't see Selden going one-and-done, either, because the 2014 draft is ridiculously stacked with one-and-dones: the Harrison twins, Randle, Wiggins, Parker, Gordon, and Walker seem like virtual locks to leave after one year just off the top of my head, and Selden projects behind all of them plus a few more potentials. I love the guy's game, but I just don't see Selden leaving after one year.
