Some really good coaching chops on display today, especially in the early games. Always thought well of Miller, and Williams needs more pub for what he's done at Marquette.
Little surprised how poorly Ohio State is shooting, and Miami...woof.
I am still pissed off about the draw Marquette got. What a flipping gift that was.
Still early but IU looks like they have no idea how to attack the zone. Cuse should be a tough one day turn but they are a much easier game in the round of 16 in my view when you get 3 or 4 days to prepare.
Crean just isn't that great of a coach, in my opinion, and we've seen it a LOT this year. There are about ten other coaches I could name quickly who wouldn't have lost 6 games with that roster.
A Syracuse win here sets up an all Big East Elite Eight game.
Thing with Indiana is that of all the teams in this tourney I would think they should have the least trouble attacking that zone. They have talented shooting and passing big men. They have a solid PG. They have wings that can shoot the ball as well. Yet they look like a monkey trying to copulate with a greased up football.
It seriously looks like Indiana started this game without any idea that they were going to have to play offense against a zone. Did Crean and staff take notes on the right teams while they were watching game film this week?
Indiana's players look like freaking sticks. Looks like the same model as UNC's program but with less natural talent and physical ability. They are getting tossed around like little rag dolls.
If you're an NBA GM, what makes you select Cody Zeller?
Having only a second road pick.

And then there were two one seeds remaining...
What was with that announcing crew (and then media on twitter) BJ given to Indiana for their season? Normally any one seed that goes down like that would get CRUSHED by the media.
But, think of all they've overcome to get back here!
Depends on where you think he's going. Lottery? Probably wouldn't, but beyond on that why not? Very weak draft and Zeller is definitely skilled enough to be a solid role player as a big in the league. Certainly not a star by any means. Probably career like Nick Collison.
Yeah, Collison was more physically ready in my view though.
My problem with Zeller is that he is not especially talented (he won't drag you to the three point line or dribble drive a talented defender), has short arms and is not a physical presence. His college stats are heavily predicated on getting to the foul line which he won't do in the NBA where he will be physically outmatched.
Guy needs to add some muscle. I honestly wonder if Indiana (and UNC for that matter) have a weight program at all.
