Should be a good year for our guys. Frankamp, Greene, and Selden each nominated. Does anyone know if Embiid was eligible? I don't think Mason was.

I'm surprised to see Julius Randle nominated. He's a no-brainer talent-wise, but I thought McD's required the participants to have played HS ball this season and he hasn't been able to due to injury. Including him is a good result, but shows either that I don't understand their rules or they don't follow them.
I always understood it as eligible for high school, rather than "play".
i.e. they won't penalize for injury.
There was a lot of handwringing and complaining that Randle deserved it but wouldn't be included on Twitter a month or so ago. Perhaps just a false rumor.
Out of these guys, who makes it you think? I'm guessing Selden and maybe Greene. I think Frankamp misses the cut.
Maybe I'm over-confident, but I think all three make it (and Randle). Frankamp's team USA background and scoring numbers will sway enough voters.
Frankamp is a good fit for it as they have a 3-point contest and need people to participate in it. I agree with you that his team USA background gets him in. And he ought to be in regardless.
I feel like Selden is the only lock & one of Greene and Conner will make it.
I suppose if one really wants to look at it you have to first look at how many Duke and Carolina commitments there are who can walk and chew bubble gum without hurting themselves because they will all get in. Then see what you need to fill out the rest of the teams.
That is a sadly legitimate point. Netween the two, they have a PG (Britt), SG (Jones), 2 SFs (Parker, Ojeleye), PF (Hicks), and C (Meeks). Add in UK, and you have the other team with a PG (Harrison), 2 SGs (Harrison, Young), SF (Willis), PF (Lee), and C (Johnson). That's a starting five and sixth man. On to the backups.
More seriously, NC might not get all three, but I bet Duke does. Willis might miss for UK. I haven't checked everyone's eligibility.
And it will be a joke because Conner is much better than Nate Britt.
And Thomas Robinson is marginally better than both Wear twins...combined...
It would suck for the kids and their family, but snubbed McDAA's have been very good for us. Greene and/or Frankamp coming into camp next fall a little pissed off works for me.
