Wish I had time for more of a full article but such is life. The key for KU is keeping Releford on the floor and out of foul trouble. If he is free to run with Mcgruder for the whole of the game KU has a very good chance to win this game. All you need to do with the other guys is play them honest I think. Our length should bother their other guards so long as we can move our feet and stay in front of them. But if we keep Releford and Withey on the floor we can make it very hard for them to score the ball.
The tricky thing in the Big 12 this year is that K-State looks like they're probably the second best team, but we are quite possibly the worst matchup man-for-man for them in the entire country. Releford counters Mcgruder if he stays on the floor and doesn't worry about fouling (which he's seemed to do since the Temple game), and just about everything they do well beyond that, we do better. The exception in the past has been rebounding, so that may well be where this game turns.
