Florida, Kansas and Texas
I'm going with Florida until proven wrong on this one. Not counting out Kansas or Texas, but I'll need to see it to believe it.
National Director of Scouting & Recruiting Analyst
I really think Embiid will end up at KU. Mbah a Moute is running this process. I have to believe that he'd choose Self over Barnes for big man development, and for PT we have more available next season than Florida.
It's never bet against the home team versus never bet against the team with the most PT versus Texas.

I'd say the safe guess here is Florida as just about every analyst from the beginning has said Florida has been his leader.
Florida gained a big advantage when Embiid transferred to Gainesville/Rock. He's had a lot of unofficial visit time at Florida since.
And I'm not saying it's done deal, just to be clear. I do think Florida has an advantage.
He wants a chance to play right away and we have PT available at center. He's going to Kansas (jmo).
Next year Florida will have Dorian Finney-Smith, Damontre Harris, Chris Walker and possibly Patric Young who will all play the 4/5 ahead of Embiid.
At Kansas, Embiid would be competiting with Peters and Lucas for the 5. Two guys that will most likely still be freshman next season.
I'm with you. I feel really confident. Definitely the best I feel of any of the remaining targets.
Out of these three teams, Kansas certainly needs him the most. Add Embiid and another big to go along with the players they've already had committed and it's a class that's going to provide a strong foundation for Kansas basketball going forward.
So what is everyone hearing now? On the Florida 247 board they are saying he is not going to Florida and is coming to KU. Has anyone on here heard the same? Seems like we are in a good position for him.
My heart says KU (like always). I'm hearing a pretty even split between KU and UF. Credible sources on both sides.
I've heard Kansas from a good source. If so, humongous pickup. I know for a fact that all 3 staffs think the kid is a pro.
It sounds like he is announcing tomorrow now and signing later in the week.
Heard that as well. Announce tomorrow. Sign Thursday. No announcement tomorrow could mean he decided to go to the UF game.
So now he is announcing Tuesday? Instead of Wednesday which was instead of Thursday?
Also how many staff members does this board have? lol
We have 5 staff members...it just looks like more since there isn't a lot of traffic from non staffers. Help us bring up the numbers! :-)
I think we land the guy if he commits tomorrow. That means Florida can't try to get him to come to their game on Wednesday as one last shot.
While unlikely, is there any chance he is moving it up because of something to do with Roberson's (or someone else's) impending announcement?
Ryan always has solid info, but particularly in this area - if the source is who I think it is - then things sound like they look pretty stinking good.
Embiid is exactly what this class needs. Hope to God it's KU.
Wow! Is this THE PittsJay?
LOL, yeah. Figured it was time I at least registered for an account over here. I've been pretty much inactive on message boards since leaving Phog and starting my new job. Haven't had a lot of time.
OK - I'm in. =)
All right! Y'all want content, right?!?! Let's get some more content out there...
I get busy at work and look who shows up...
I got a tip from a guy I know who would know something about this that says KU is in front. That is a couple days old though.
