Live to love, love to live
Screw 'em. And their whiny fans. I was on board until I saw more "KU should play us" and "chickenhawk" crap.

They haven't been to the elite 8 since Carr, Livingston and Xavier McDaniel played for them... Gene Smithson was the coach and Randy Smithson was the point guard.

I'm in the "congratulations" school of thought on this one, but I do wish people would realize that us playing them isn't really good for either program in most of the possible outcomes.
Exactly. Can't figure out why KU fans are rooting for WSU. They sure as hell don't root for KU. Their coach is probably the worst of the bunch when it comes to crying about KU not playing them.
From the WSU perspective, the results rank:
1. KU visits and they win
2. KU continues to refuse and they keep whining.
3. KU visits and we win
4. They shut up
They know we're not playing so 2 is the obvious win.
From the KU perspective, it's 4, 2, 3, 1.
They're not going to shut up so 2 is the win.
A win there gains nothing but costs either a valuable home game or a road game that helps recruiting.
Is the issue with playing WSU that they won't play every game at AFH like every other mid-major we schedule?
To me that's the bulk of it. There's a bit more that if we occassionally slip up against a Richmond it is forgotten. If we occassionally slip up against WSU we never hear the end of it.
I'm a Buckeye and I appreciate your kind thoughts. We lost to you guys earlier in the year in Columbus so I was surprised that you want us out of the tournament. The Jayhawks and the Louisville Cardinals are the two teams that most Buckeye fans are worried about.
Fortunately, your kind wishes about taking out tOSU boomeranged karmically on you as tsun (that team up north) just took out Kansas. When you wish misfortune on others, you invite it one-hundred fold on yourself. In addition, considering that Isaiah Johnson literally hit the Wolverine center in the balls and got a very appropriate flagrant foul for it, karma works quite well in eliminating that which needs to be eliminated. It's good to see Isaiah Johnson OUT of the tournament. It's unfortunate that Kansas chose to bring him back into the game and thus court disaster.
You guys have a great program and are an admirable adversary. While I generally root for B1G TEN teams in a tournament of this nature, the Isaiah Johnson incident intensified my rooting for that team up north. Isaiah made a big impression on a lot of people and bringing him back into the game stirred the Wolverines up sufficiently to make a remarkable comeback. Karma's a bitch, eh ?
I don't know how the Buckeyes will fare against a very good Witchita State team this evening. I'll be rooting for my Buckeyes, of course, but Champions rise to the occasion so we'll soon see who earns the victory tonight. Victories aren't just handed out to favorites just for showing up. THat's why the game is played and anything that stirs the emotions, such as Isaiah's re-entry into the game last night, inevitably brings karmic results. The Buckeyes aren't the most talented team left in the tournament and Kansas probably has more talent than the Buckeyes, but there are other factors that play into winning.
May the best team win and that is not necessarily the most talented team.
EDIT: I just found this link to a national article identifying BOTH Trey Burke AND Elijah Johnson as the two heroes for the Wolverines.
The concluding comment was: "Kansas lost. Elijah Johnson finished with 13 points, no assists against five turnovers, and a reputation that will follow him -- the guy who punched the Michigan player in the testicles.
Sometimes you get what you deserve"

I wasn't aware I owed any alliegence to tOSU...
I appologize to the Jayhawk nation for the bad karma I brought upon the team.
No need to apologize. Just move on as the Buckeyes are doing in the tournament while Kansas and Isaiah "Balls" Johnson watch from the sidelines.
I'm surprised, however, that you had no comment whatsoever on the thrust of the article, which was Isaiah "Balls" Johnson's fixation on McGary's testicles and his inability to control his urges. I hope that this is not universally acceptable behavior in Jayhawk Nation.
I'm sure no one in Ohio State history has made a stupid play they regret, so I'm sorry that ELIJAH Johnson was the first one ever to do it. I am also confident that if you read any threads on last night's disappointment anywhere else on this board, you'll find that his action is universally decried as deplorable.
Really dude, you're going to come over here a day after the Jayhawks are eliminated from the tournament and gloat like a mealy mouthed little bitch?
It's douches like you who give entire fanbases a bad name.
I once lived in Wichita, so I root for them in the tournament... and that is somehow bad karma? I'm sure Ohio State has some decent fans, you are obviously not one of them.
Oh, by the way, nice karma you put on your team... getting beat by the lowly Shockers... F'in dork
