Not only will Kansas fans have another opportunity to see their Jayhawks in action during the open practice/scrimmage on Saturday morning, but they also will get to see the #5 and #6 ( #1 and #5 in Composite Rankings) ranked players in the 2014 class. PG Tyus Jones and C Jahlil Okafor will begin their official visits to Kansas on Friday, their second of three visits they will take together.
Both Jones and Okafor visited Baylor on August 30th before Okafor made visits alone to Kentucky and Arizona in September and October. Both players will wrap up their visit schedule with a trip to Duke on October 25th.
The two 2014 stand-out players have stuck by their plan to play together in college, which makes Baylor, Duke and Kansas the only three schools that the two could end up. Jones, Kansas' #1 PG option for the 2014 class for some time now, dismissed rumors that he and Okafor would choose different schools in an interview with Blue Devil Lair a week ago.
Most of the talk for both players has them heading to Duke when it's all said and done. Duke certainly has a lot to offer any player, but counting out Kansas and Baylor isn't something anyone should do.
During the Bill Self era at Kansas, the Jayhawks can certainly point to multiple point guards and multiple bigs that have developed and thrived under Coach Self's system at Kansas. Baylor, who has a relative of Jones on staff, did a lot to impress the Dynamic Duo during their official visit.
So this weekend it's KU's turn to show the Dynamic Duo what Jayhawk Nation is all about. With both players having said they hope to make their final college decision next month, Kansas will certainly leave a fresh memory in their minds.
